Thomas Morrison New Orleans Sculptor and Physicist Genius

I met Thomas R. Morrison at his then studio in the Garden District of New Orleans. His studio beholds classical life-size sculptures mixed with paintings of Mardi Gras floats in the old watercolor tradition and pinned to the wall physics calculations for his upcoming scientific journal submission. Wow is all I can say. And the last portrait of him fits perfectly this genius with both sides of his brain working in perfect harmony. We shot inside the studio and out on the roof where we can see one of his life-size works of art, a gargoyle, on a house a block away. How cool is that?!

The way this man's mind works and how it guides his hand is just beautiful. Be sure to read the article in the Winter 2019 Issue of New Orleans Canvas Magazine. Please take a peek at these three from his session. My fave is the last with the wind in his hair it truly reminds of the right/left brain genius I just met.
