Jessica and I have been Facebook friends for over a year now. She messaged me a few weeks ago asking if I would do a surprise family session for her mom's Christmas present. I was honored! So we planned the time and place to meet at the famous Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter. Dad came out and we decided to surprise Cheri at Washington Artillary Park overlooking Jackson Square because its her favorite place.
Dressed in grubbly clothes I was incognito snapping shots while she looked on clueless. Then her daughters and husband pointed at me and told her their family photos with me were her special Christmas present. We traveled along the streets for candids and portraits ending up at Pat O'Briens Courtyard Bar for a Christmas toast. Apparently Cheri's great aunt told her, at the age of 92, go to Pat O's and have a Hurricane for me. So they did.
