Emily and Zach are such a cute couple! They brought along a small contigency of co-conspirators so we were set for some fun! We started in New Orleans City Park for the ceremony with Reverend Steve Trahan of Sensational Ceremonies. He is a very cool man. A lot of personality there! After the ceremony we took a bit of time to grab some portraits among the giant Southern Oak trees.
Then off to the French Quarter. Well there was one hitch. They drove to New Orleans but decided to cab it up to the park. It was going to be over 45 minutes to get a ride back so...we all piled into my white trash jeep without a backseat. Sight to be seen. Bride and best friend on each other's laps waving out the passenger side window. Groom and his best friends in the back crouched and bouncing around like bowling balls as we navigated the not so well maintained streets of New Orleans.
I dropped them off at their hotel and headed the few blocks home to drop off equipment, grab a camera body, lens and flash climbing aboard my new pink, green and purple bike to meet back up for the last 1/2 of their wedding photographs.
Of course we grabbed cocktails and headed to Royal Street for some quasi-impromptu first dance. While Zach was reluctant we ladies reminded him how much better life is if da wifey is happy. And it wasn't so painful after all. Visitors to the city applauded as they left their makeshift dance floor heading out to a nice dinner and Frenchmen Street.
Enjoy their photographs. I love it when couples trust and give me total artistic freedom. We just go with the flow.
No wedding is complete without a Lucky Dog.
