Willie Birch is an icon in New Orleans and across America for his art work. To sit in his studio and see up close and personal his art was a real honor. Please read the Spring 2019 Issue of New Orleans Canvas Magazine for photographs and more about Willie's art and activism.
Sitting and listening to him I really got a feel for where his art comes from and how his passion burns to the core. It was important to capture him relaxed and chatting more than a formal posed portrait. But of course we have a few of those also.
