So, I so badly wanted to be a painter growing up, you know paint-on-canvas, artist.
But alas I really kinda suck at it.
Lately I've needed a creative bump to your wedding day portraits. I started this project that I hope down the road to show in a New Orleans fine art exhibition.
It's my wedding couples interpreting the famous Grant Wood Painting 'American Gothic'. My inspiration was this painting I saw in a house on St. Charles several years ago. It has stayed with me all these years and truly represents my vision.
In the process I am testing ways to present the images in an artistic manner that transcends the mere photograph and truly becomes art. Ultimately I plan to paint or draw on the final prints.
